While we were on vacation, we celebrated Isaac's 2nd birthday...August 25th! From the time we came home with Isaac, he has had this laid-back, easy going personality. He almost always has a smile on his face and it's a smile that overtakes every feature. Isaac is a gentle, sweet, cuddly little boy with a ferocious side that thinks little of danger or inability or age. Why not, though?! He always tries to keep up with Elijah and Luke. He is the third echo heard in any conversation or play. He is the inspiration to his older brothers to give hugs and kisses to mama and daddy. I thank God everyday for Isaac, for God knowing that we needed him..."another" boy...as much as he needed us. I thank God for the events following Isaac's birth that drew me to a closer and more intimate relationship with Christ.
Early in our pregnancy with Isaac (we didn't know his gender), I commented that "I will laugh if this baby is a boy!" Consequently, when we came up with the name Isaac which means "laughter" it seemed like a good fit. At the time of his birth, we had definitely decided on Isaac Joel, but had many girl names on our list. A very dear friend stopped in to see us shortly after Isaac arrived and she saw our list sitting on the table. Seeing that we had only one boy name and 5 or 6 girl names, she exclaimed that "It was a sign from God!" Maybe it was...either way, I am so thankful for the little boy that God gave us that day. I love you, Ike, my sweet baby!
ABC Food Fun...came with a little refrigerator that says types of food, letters and sound and music. When you close the fridge door, it exclaims, "Let's chill out another time...bye!"
Isaac kept licking the frosting off the cake and we just laughed...
Squishy sports balls...when he opened them he jumped up and yelled, "Yay! Yay! Yay!" over and over. Have I ever mentioned how much he loves baseball, how much he talks about baseball, how often he pretends to play baseball, how he loves to wear his baseball shirt, etc...?
Jay Jay figures...another rousing cheer from Isaac, "Yay! Yay! Yay!"
