Luke's 5th Birthday

Luke celebrated his 5th birthday at the end of May. We spent the day with Grandpa and Grandma Farwell at their house. It's hard to believe that our Luke is 5 years old and ready to start Kindergarten in the fall. Some days I see him as a little boy, but more often I watch him and realize that he is growing up too fast!

My "fancy" version of a birthday cake...doesn't matter to Luke...all he wanted was chocolate cake with white frosting and sprinkles.

Luke is our most athletic little boy at this point and would play sports all day if we would allow and the weather would cooperate! He's been wanting a tennis racket for a while now and was thrilled with this gift!

No summer visit to the Farwell's is complete without a game of bean bags. The boys really got into it and changed a few of the "traditional" rules to make up a new game.

When Luke heard that we were headed to Grandpa and Grandma's for his birthday, he immediately wanted to know if he could go fishing. Grandpa was happy to oblige and even though the pond was too muddy that day and no fish took the bait, the boys were excited to have gone fishing.

Sweet Lukey, we love you and are so thankful God chose you to be our little boy!
