Quilting Frenzy

For the first time in a LONG time, I spent many hours this entire weekend cutting, sewing and filling that "need" to create. Have I ever mentioned how much I love quilting? How I don't really take time to quilt anymore? How my sewing machine doesn't have a permanent workspace so it's hard to sew for snippets of time? How many quilt ideas I have tucked away in my brain for a rainy day or a day when my family's needs are not so demanding?

I'm working on a lap quilt based on a pattern I saw in a book. I don't actually have a pattern other than what I recall from my memory, but simplified to allow me to make quick progress. It's a sort-of patchwork crazy quilt and I'm loving it! In fact, the top is almost already sewn together and I'm hoping to machine quilt it this week to finish by next weekend...but we'll see how "life" goes!
