Chronicles of Narnia Radio Theatre

Having spent many hours traveling in the past several weeks has allowed us the opportunity to use the time listening to a fabulous radio drama "The Chronicles of Narnia." The boys are hooked and often ask when we can drive somewhere just so they can listen to the story. The stories are laid out in chronological order of events rather than the order they were originally written. Out of the five we've listened to (out of seven total) the consensus is that "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" is the favorite - sailing, dragons, great new characters.

Throughout the day, I overhear snippets of conversation where Aslan, Reepicheep, Peter, Edmund, Trumpkin, White Witch, those girls, and a variety of others are part of the imaginative play. We listen to a lot of books on tape, but this dramatized version has absolutely captured their imaginations. You can visit Christian Book Distributors (christianbook.com)to hear some sound clips of the stories. I highly recommend this series and the set is on sale right now, too!!!
