SnapShop Online Photography Course - Day Eight

Sadie is just as fascinated with play dough as I am with figuring out how to choose my camera settings for the best picture...

The first one is great of the playdough/table and I suppose because the playdough is the main object that's good. The second though sweet is too much Sadie if you want to include what she is so interested in. The third is fabulous of Sadie, but the pd is not in focus. Isn't there an automatic on those camera's. It would be a challenge to get it just right from a photography perspective! Sadie is in pink and adorned with a kittie, too!

Hi Libby! You are my one true blog fan always leaving me sweet comments! I LOVE it!!!

With some of the photos I take, I intentionally choose a "focus point" in the picture, like Sadie in the background, rather than having the entire photo in focus, like the playdough. You can still see all that is going on, and yet I want the main focus to be on Sadie. Call it creative license. It is one of the ideas taught in my photography course! Who knew, right?!

Kiley, Thanks for stopping by my blog with your positive feedback.

I LOVE your pictures. The last picture is my ultimate favorite because your daughter is so crisp and she is clearly the subject of your picture. I think you pictures really tell a story!
You're doing great!:)
