Boutique Burpies

I've been sewing!!! You know how much I enjoy it and I'm branching out from quilting. Having our baby girl has awoken a new interest in sewing because I feel like there are SO many more options for projects. Boy superhero capes...check. Boy stuffed snakes...check. Boy work aprons...check. Boy clothing and matching doll outfit...don't think so. Anyhow, I've been reading a wide variety of sewing tutorials on everything you can imagine. The ones that always stick out to me are the ones I could make for Sadie. I can't quite imagine I'd look great in anything I could sew for myself...but I may try in the future.

However, my recent sewing adventures have been gifts for baby showers. Burp cloths! There is something so satisfying about giving something homemade. I made the pink and black ones for my sister-in-law. I got the idea from a burp cloth Sadie received as a gift. Love this style and it was SO easy to make. It will definitely be the way I make more in the future. And I know of three babies for sure that I'll be sewing for in the next few months!

This is made with one burp cloth, a piece of fabric, a piece of terry cloth, and ribbon. It took me a little over an hour to make these. Now that I've done it once, it should go even faster next time!

This was the first set I made with a fabric strip up the center of the burp cloth. I like it, but I'd need to figure out how to finish the ends a little better next time.

They're are super cool. I saw them in person, and they are dy-no-mite! It's been a long day, and I am feeling goofy. They are really cool though. Me
