An hour of school with the little(er) ones...preschool and kindergarten.
I spent time playing around with focus points today and setting iso, f/, and shutter speed. If I'm thinking more about composition, then I make more "mistakes" with camera settings. When I'm paying more attention to camera settings, then I "forget" about composition.
I know the solution...practice, practice, practice!!!
I'm happy that I was able to combine everything together to capture some decent shots. However, I think that a lot of my photos are sorta grainy looking and not as sharp as I'd like them. Is this true??? Thoughts??? I think this calls for some more re-reading section two of the course, fiddling with settings, and...
say it with me...
PRACTICE!!!
***edited to note: I just re-read section two. I do need to lower my iso (the higher the iso, the more noise!) and then adjust the other two elements accordingly...***
***edited to note #2: I'm so irritated that I approached choosing my camera settings the exact opposite of how Ashley suggested. Grrr.... I mostly liked the pictures before, now I KNOW they are too grainy making me like them less. Composition is decent (in my opinion). Technical is not good. Let's all say it together..."You are WAY too hard on yourself. You've only been shooting in manual for five days..." Sigh.***

The second shot with the jar of pencils is clearer! I love the last photo!
The picture of your little man working on his math is precious! Great picture!
