Bathroom Bliss

The bathroom is DONE (except for painting the door white)! After two friendly comments on how I "teased" my readers with only a picture of a hem in my last entry, I was motivated to stay up until about 2am on Sunday evening...or should I say morning...finishing the sewing and hanging our shower curtain. It was definitely worth the loss of sleep for the end product. You know those times when you spend lots of time or energy on a project, then you're not satisfied with the result???!!! Not the case here...I just knew that I would really need a nap the next day and the boys willingly obliged mostly because they were allowed to watch TV while I napped. Anyhow...check out the old pictures first then see our new bathroom!

No more robin's egg blue tile
Wall color..."Cincinnatian Hotel Vandersall Red" by Valspar

Yeah, a medicine cabinet so everything isn't displayed on the sink top!

My shower curtain fabric..."Pretty Paisley" by Waverly

Ring Clips to hold up the shower curtain so no messing with button holes or rod pockets! What's even better is the clips were on clearance at JoAnn's...8 clips for $2.19! What a deal! The shower curtain hangs so nicely and quite evenly...maybe my best home decorating sewing project yet! It's got to be Husky...she's a trooper and so cool! The blind hem stitch is now my favorite...but then again I haven't tried her other 70 stitches yet!

There you have it! We're getting close to having our kitchen completely done as well! Currently we're kicked out because the grout is drying and little boys might not remember not to step on it!

It's beautiful!!! I like that your boys are forced to look at "pink" walls whenever they have to use the Lu. Way to stand up for the girliness that's needed in life!!! I'm inspired.

Wow that's a huge change. I kinda liked the robin egg tile, but honestly the entire bathroom looks brand spankin new, and soooo updated. I'm sure it makes you happy everytime you go in. The shower curtain is too cute!
